Bethesda Softworks and MachineGames has announced that a stand alone prequel to the incredible “Wolfenstein: New Order” will be releasing for Xbox One, PS4 and PC on May 5 ,2014. The game will release for $19.99 and is being described by Bethesda as “a DLC sized, stand-alone game”. Taking us back to 1948 we are going to be treated to BJ Blazkowicz and his final plan to invade Castle Wolfenstein to destroy Death’s Head.
There are a lot of things right with this upcoming release. The fact that it is stand-alone and priced as DLC is phenomenal. Its about time a developer releases bit-sized content without expecting AAA pricing. The trailer for this is pretty awesome, taking the tone of a classic horror film.
