MOVIE TRAILERS! Sorcerer’s Apprentice

thesorcerersapprentice_l200912081418Magic is BIG in Hollywood right now (which I am grateful for) and only Jerry Bruckheimer would take a Disney movie- recast Mickey Mouse with the nerd who can’t get laid from every movie and then make the sorcerer Cameron Poe

The trailer only gives away what we already know from the title… That there is a sorcerer… and he has chosen an apprentice. Also, it looks like there is some Mysterious Asian conflict and Doctor Octopus is in it for a bit…(if i were to guess at story, I’d say that those pesky Chinese Sorcerer’s aren’t content staying in china and need to destroy New York City… or something…)

Anyways, stone dragons, dancing mops(there is a brief glimpse near the end) and LOADS of C.G.I. aside… this looks like it’ll be you’re average run of the mill JBF production with a lot of ‘clever’ one liners and explosions…and magic…

I kinda can’t wait.

Enjoy!

Has ‘Deadpool’ Flick Found Its Writers?

 deadpool23000p12

Looks like we might have some good, developing news/rumor with regards to the Deadpool movie, courtesy CHUD:

The Deadpool movie has been slowly, quietly been percolating over at Fox, and recent days may have seen some important developments. While nothing is official just yet, it looks like Fox could be hiring Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers of Zombieland, to script the adventures of the Merc With A Mouth. I did my due diligence and asked around but couldn’t get a solid confirmation, so regard this one as a strong rumor.

Of course, as awesome as this would be, it is stressed to just be a rumor at this point. But I can’t help -being the Deadpool fan I am- to be a little excited about this!

More to come, I’m sure!

MOVIE TRAILERS! Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows

We all love a good movie trailer. Its like watching a little movie… a.. “short film” if I may-

NOW- some trailers give away WAY too much, they’ll condense the beginning, middle and end into a minute thirty. Other trailers will throw 3 words, a logo and a sound bite at you and expect you to be content with the information they haven’t presented… I’m not one to judge a trailer by its edits, but I’m going to anyway! Dozens of trailers for dozens of films hit the web on a weekly basis and I’ve taken it upon myself to bring you as many trailers as I feel are worth watching (weed teh worthwhile from the worthlesswhile)-  then I might even throw my opinion at whether or not(based on the information given/not given) the movie looks worth watching…

Onto the trailers!

 Deathly Hallows

For all y’all geeky nerds and fantasy fiends… I stumbled across this first look of the next installment of what seems to be a never ending franchise… Its an interesting technique throwing a bit of a behind the scenes look before the actual teaser, and I’m not sure if it excites me more for the film, or bothers me that I have to sit through it before seeing footage of the film…

There isn’t much given away on plot line, in fact I’d say it was just the right amount- but everyone already knows the story. (Also an interesting technique)

Enjoy!

More Spider-Man 4 Casting Rumors *Heavy Sigh*

 thevulture

Arse-bot here. It’s with a heavy heart that I bring you more Spider-Man 4 casting and character rumors. I’m sure you’re all just as sick of these as I am, but at the same time, I can’t help but let these rumors spark my interest in what the next installment holds. I assure you, I take these with as much of a grain of salt as you do…

Anyways, the latest rumors are coming from Movie Line (.com), and they are saying that Sony is looking to John Malkovich to play the villain, The Vulture in the next installment. Okay, well, that’s all well and good, and if Vulture is indeed the villain in the next film, then I don’t think this would be bad casting. Here’s the part that has me most concerned if this is as “confirmed” as this site claims it to be:

The 27-year-old actress is currently the top choice for Felicia Hardy, who’d been long-rumored as one of the new characters in this installment. (Other names bandied about for the role included Julia Stiles, Rachel McAdams, and Romola Garai.) However, unlike in the comic books, this Felicia Hardy doesn’t transform into the Black Cat. Instead, Raimi’s Felicia will become a brand-new superpowered figure called the Vulturess.

I think I can safely speak for the entire Spider-Man fan community when I say… “No.”

While I highly doubt that Raimi, essentially being given a new start at Spider-Man 4 with the retaking of the reigns, would make this sort of mistake. The first thought that comes to my mind when I read this “news” is “Bullshit.” But directors and movies have surprised me in the past.

I’m sure that in the coming months we will start getting character and casting information straight from the horse’s mouth at Sony for from Raimi. So until then, take all of these casting and character stories as simply rumors -no matter how “confirmed” a site claims them to be.

‘Zombieland’ Coming to DVD and Blu-ray Feb. 2, 2010

 zombielandbluray

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has revealed early details about the DVD and Blu-ray release of the hit comedy, Zombieland, which stars Woody Harrleson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin.

Zombieland is an excellent film, and it looks like the studio is going to be including some pretty cool extras for the DVD and Blu-ray release of the film (see full list below). Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg have great chemistry as reluctant “buddies” trying to make their way in a zombie-ridden world -and to find Twinkies of course. Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin are great as well, and of course provide a little comedic romantic sub-plot for our characters. I laughed consistently throughout this entire film; it’s not one of those comedies that drags on too long or suddenly takes a turn for the serious -nor does it spend too much time explaining the “how’s and why’s” of the zombies. It’s nearly entirely laughs and action all the way through its modest 88 minute run time.

Of course, if you are a zombie movie-lover like me, this is an easy recommend; but I would also recommend it to anyone that’s just a fan of really good comedies! You can pre-order Zombieland on Amazon.com now!

Special Features are to Include:

  • Commentary with Actors Woody Harrelson & Jesse Eisenberg, Director Ruben Fleischer, Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick
  • “In Search of Zombieland” featurette
  • “Zombieland is Your Land” featurette
  • Deleted scenes
  • Visual Effects Progression Scenes
  • Woke Up Dead Episode “Up and At ‘Em”
  • Trailers

The Blu-ray version will include all of the special features above, but also a “Beyond the Graveyard” Behind the Scenes Picture-in-Picture Track, and a digital copy of the film

New Kick-Ass Poster!

It seems as though Lionsgate received the feedback given by the good Dr. Cyborg. The Dr. felt like the new Iron Man 2 poster was superior to the Kick-Ass posters that have previously been released. Well, not to be out done, Lionsgate has released a new Kick-Ass poster featuring the Red Mist! Hopefully, this is up to Dr. Cyborg’s standards!

Kick-Ass opens on April 16, 2010 and you can check out the trailer here!

The Hurt Locker to be Hawkeye in upcoming Marvel Films?

This news comes to us from splashpage.mtv.com who were talking to Jeremy Renner. No clue who he is? He was the star of the indie flick The Hurt Locker. I never saw it either, I had every intention and heard nothing but how great it was, but I’m a drunk and it didnt sound like the kind of movie I would enjoy hammered. Itd make me cry, and oil tears are a bitch to clean up. What the fucks my point? That there are rumors that Hawkeye will show up not only in the Avengers but maybe a “set-up” cameo of Hawkeye in Thor.

“The Marvel guys are really smart. They’re reall cool,” Renner told MTV News. “My buddy Zak Penn is writing ‘Avengers,’ but that’s not for years away. The only reason this even came up is because they’re thinking about a little cameo of [Clint] as Hawkeye in there. It’s the only reason why I talked to those guys about it.”

Theres a lot more here but the long and short of it is that maybe there will be Hawkeye. Honestly I think it would be cool but man, the list of people in Thor is huge!!! Why add more?
