Looking for a new podcast? Finding you don’t have enough Dungeons and Dragons in your life? Well the guys over at Earwolf Podcasts have set up a new D&D themed podcast for your listening pleasure. If you’re not familiar with Earwolf they are a group created by comedian Scott Aukerman (writer for Mr. Show) and Jeff Ulrich and there are a bunch of podcasts there, mostly of the comedy variety. Well about four weeks ago they started a podcast called “Nerd Poker” which stars comedian Brian Posehn (Mr. Show, Sarah Silverman Program), Blaine Capatch (Beat The Geeks, Web Soup), and four other friends. The guys at Earwolf came to Brian Posehn about doing a podcast and since he plays D&D on a regular basis he said why not put microphones on his D&D group and start doing a podcast. The idea of any old D&D group doing a podcast doesn’t sound appealing but all of the members of this group work in comedy in some capacity and so the show is actually quite funny and you don’t really need to be too familiar with D&D for the humor to take. Of course for those who have played it will be a fun jaunt into the lives of the characters.
Nerd Poker is up to four episodes now and there have been some fantastic moments including Elven Nudity, spirit bears and putting sexy women out of their misery. I highly recommend this podcast so give it a listen.
