Microsoft dropped the price of the Xbox One, with and without Kinect, over the holidays, and it sold like gang busters for them; for the first time ever, the X1 outsold the PS4 and finally hit the ten million console milestone! The prices went back to normal a few days ago, but it appears that Microsoft isn’t about to let such a good thing end.
Starting January 16, the Kinect-free version of the system will again be available for only $349, which means that if you missed picking one up over the past two months, you’ve got another chance.
Interestingly enough, Microsoft hasn’t announced an end date for the new price (like they did last time), which makes many of us think that it will be a permanent price drop.
One has to wonder if Sony won’t be making a similar adjustment for the PS4 soon as well.
