Today my email brought me an interesting discovery. Redbox a.k.a “my place to rip the newest movies” sent a notice to their customers that later in October they will begin allowing video game rentals through their machines. The cost will be $2 a day, and will be launched nation wide. Although I think Redbox is great for movies, I’m not sure how well their service will work at such a high price, what gamers play a game for only 24 hours? Imagine wanting to play through an RPG via redbox and paying $2 a day…. This is a daring move, let’s see where it takes our giant robot vender of entertainment.
