During the PlayStation pre-show, Sony announced that the PS4 will be receiving a media player app tonight. While I’m happy to see that I can finally play multimedia without resorting to older tech, this is definitely a much needed, and way late addition to the system. You can see the supported audio, photo, and video formats below, they are surprisingly broad.
