Nintendo announced this morning that the Wii Mini will be releasing this Holiday season. The system will be bundled with a Wii-Mote, Nun-Chuk, Mario Kart, and the system for $99.00. It will not have any online funcitonality, and does not support Gamecube games. Basically it’s a budget Wii system with no internet functionality. It will have a target market, but I can’t fathom buying this when you can spend $30.00 more to get backwards compatibility and internet connectivity,or hit up your local game store for a used Wii at around $99.00. The bonus to this is the amount of software packed into the system. Mario Kart is still retailing for $39 ESRP, a Wiimote and Nun-Chuk run you $55.00, so you’re getting the console for essentially $5.00. November 17th is the date of release, ready to catch up on some Wii games you might have missed?
