Before I went to bed last night, I posted 2 new screens from Halo 4. When I awoke, the embargoes for new Halo 4 information had ended, and that means a behind the scenes video as well as various reporting on the game as it was shown live recently by 343 Industries. Check out the vid:
I was hoping for a full in-game trailer, but this will do for now. The team at 343 looks to be very passionate and numerous. Their focus is to stay true to what makes Halo, Halo, while also adding their own identity to it. They also look to be improving the quality of the game. Bungie did great work, but wow this looks great. The audio and visuals already look wonderful.
The BR is back and sounds fantastic. I have mixed feelings about the BR, but its an iconic fan favorite and fans should be pleased to see its return after its absence from Halo: Reach.
We also see our first look at new Spartan IV’s. At this point we don’t know exactly what that means other than it is a new iteration of the Spartan model. Master Chief is a Spartan 2, and the smaller more expendable models from Halo: Reach are Spartan 3s. The IV looks to be a bigger model like the 2.
In case that video moved to fast to get a good look, here are a few animated GIFs courtesy of Plywood from NeoGAF
This is 343 Industries first outing together as a team and their first Halo game. I was very skeptical up to this point, but I now have a lot of faith in this team and what they can do. From what little we’ve seen the game looks phenomenal and I can’t wait to get my hands on it at the end of this year.
