‘Transformers: War for Cybertron – Siege’ Original Soundtrack – Exclusive Track

Netflix recently released Siege, the first chapter of the Transformers: War for Cyberton series. Produced by Rooster Teeth for Netflix, the trilogy delves into the most central mythology which defines the franchise.

This first installment drops viewers into the final hours of civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons for the fate of Cyberton.

While the imagery of War for Cyberton promises to answer heretofore unanswered questions about the origin of the tranformers, it would be incomplete without an accompanying score.

Alex Bornstein was given the herculean task of setting the aural tone for this epic undertaking. We had the chance to talk with Bornstein about his experience, check that out if you haven’t already.

Bornstein is an award-winning composer currently based in Los Angeles. His music can be currently heard in television, independent films, feature films, web series, and documentaries. Alexander has also been at the forefront of new multimedia platforms such as composing music for Doug Liman’s Invisible, one of the earliest series produced for virtual reality.

Recent works include First to the Moon: The Journey of Apollo 8 and additional music for numerous TV series including The Boys and Lost in Space. He is currently scoring the upcoming chapters of the Transformers War for Cybertron trilogy. Over the years, Alexander’s work has brought him through major music studios including Abbey Road Studios,Remote Control Productions and Sonic Fuel Studios.

“Being brought on to compose an entirely new musical world for the Transformers: War for Cybertron trilogy on Netflix has been both a dream job and huge creative responsibility.  The world of the Autobots and Decepticons has been part of my pop culture psyche for a long time, going all the way back to watching G1 reruns on the Sci-Fi Channel in the early ‘90s. I’m very excited fans will now have a chance to delve deeper into the music of the trilogy’s first chapter Siege, and hear the show’s themes for characters like Elita-1, extensive use of analog synthesizers, and amazing solo players,” Bornstein said.

The soundtrack to Transformers War for Cyberton: Siege released today and we’ve got an exclusive track for you.

The track, appropriately entitled Cyberton, plays like what every young robot hears when they dream of adventure. It beautifully blends mounting anxiety with promise. In short, it’s the perfect score for what promises to be an incredible journey into the heart of the Transformers mythos.

Pop in your headphones, dim the lights, and get hyped.
