I love Boston Legal. So when I heard David E. Kelley had a new show I was pretty excited. Of course it seems Kelley is doing his same old shtick. Quirky characters in a law office. Basically this show is pretty much the same format as Boston Legal except it’s in Cincinnati Ohio and it doesn’t have James Spader or William Shatner. This show just isn’t as good as Boston Legal. Kathy Bates plays Harry, a patent lawyer that goes a little crazy and decides to open her own practice in inner city Cincinnati. Oh, and it doubles as a shoe shop.
David E. Kelley has the tendency to have lots of quirky characters and in the first episode Harry’s opponent is a lawyer that stutters. The one thing this show has going for it that is different from Boston Legal is that it has an inner city element and some of the characters that have come out of it have been pretty good. The ratings have also been doing good so it’s doubtful it’ll go anywhere at least for a couple seasons. You can find the show on NBC.
I’ll keep watching but I don’t really recommend it unless you loved Boston Legal for more then just the acting.
