HBO has announced a new contest for fans of True Blood.  It’s   

an exciting opportunity for fans who want to dress up as their favorite True Blood characters for Halloween. HBO is giving  “Truebies” the chance to win one-of-a-kind costumes straight from the True Blood set when they enter the sweepstakes at the HBO Shop. There are eight authentic wardrobe pieces being given away including Sookie’s bloody Merlotte’s tee and other fabulous costumes such as Maryann’s wedding gown and Tara’s Victorian night gown. The sweepstakes will take place until 12pm EST on October 15^th, and winners will be drawn randomly on October 18^th– just in time to receive their costumes for Halloween! In addition, fans can come check out some of the costumes on display at the HBO Shop in NYC (1100 6^th Ave at 42^nd St.) beginning October 7^th.

True Blood chronicles the adventures of Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin), a bar waitress who also happens to be telepathic.  She falls in love with vampire Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).  The show is based on the series of books The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris.  Season four is scheduled to premiere in summer 2011.
