The streaming hockey puck is dead. Roku has rounded corners and kicked up the processing speed on the all new Roku 3. Along with the new look the new Roku is also sporting dual band wifi and a brand new interface.
The Roku 3 won’t be keeping the interface all to itself either. Starting in April the older Roku models will be getting an update and switching to the new interface. The update will make navigating multiple channels easier as well as loop the channels so you aren’t stuck backtracking across them.
The most interesting new feature may be the headphone jack on the remote. Plug in the provided headphones and your Roku will mute the TV audio and wirelessly push it to the remote and headphones. Now you’ll be able to have all night marathons without bugging the other people in your house.
The Roku 3 is on sale today for $99
