Go Go Gadget Review

In my constant search for new technology and keeping pace with the west I came across this insane idea in the September issue of Popular Science.  Developed by Jake Loniak at the Art Center College of Design the Deus Ex Machina (Yeah, he really named it that.) Is a wearable exoskeleton motorcycle, and

I use the word motorcycle because that is about as close as it comes to any known form of transportation. Right now its just a picture in a computer but Loniak says that all the technology exists or is being worked on right now. As bad ass as it looks, its just not practical in any way. Loniak says it will theoretically cruise at 75 MPH and while at speed the rider is in a leaned forward almost on the ground stance. Any of you bots that have ridden motorcycles can probably think of the problems this will come with including decreased visibility of the road ahead and the problem of road debris flying up into the rider. Also driving head first just seems stupid. While I think its a great idea and that we need more people thinking outside of the box, especially for transportation or a new “sport bike” as Loniak describes it this one needs a little bit more work. If you want to see the video or read more head on over to Popular Science
