Sunday night the newest NASA rover Curiosity landed on Mars. Because of the 14 minute delay between sending and receiving information we had images available right after we knew it had safely landed. Today the first color image was released. While it doesn’t look like much, try to remember where it’s coming from. The image is of the wall of the Gale Crater where the rover landed. When it landed a lot of dust blew up and they expect images will get better when they test the robotic arm and remove the dust cover on the camera. Check out the Mars Science Lab page for more.
