But you’ve only got a few days to wait for your first taste of some new Star Wars
Lucasfilm has announced Disney XD will be airing a 15 second teaser video showing fans the look/feel of “Star Wars Rebels” onMonday, October 7 during the premiere of their new series “Mighty Med” 8:30pm-9:00pm, ET/PT
If you don’t have access to Disney, don’t worry- the teaser will also go out on Twitter via @StarWars and @DisneyChannelPR during the evening on October 7.
Star Wars Rebels is a new CGI animated series which will premier Fall 2014. The series takes place between episodes three and four. A new rebellion is forming to fight the growing strength of the Empire. The show will premier with a one hour special on the Disney Channel and then fall into regular airing on Disney XD
According to Wookieepedia, the main characters will travel in a starship called the Ghost (pictured below) and this will serve as a major show location.
Some of the same crew that brought us the Clone Wars will take over the reins with Rebels. It all serves to remind me, it’s a great time to be a geek.
With Episode VII, the spinoff films, and a new animated series, eleven year old me is jumping with delight. We’ll have a lot more time to spend in a galaxy far far away, I couldn’t be happier.
