So you know the countless hours you have spent reading all those Star Wars books and graphic novels that have been written over the course of the last decade? Well, you won’t be seeing any of those plot lines on the big screen any time soon. According to our good friends over at clubjade.net via eonline, a source from LucasFilm was quoted as saying:
“In other words, forget the Star Wars novels. Forget the graphic novels. Forget everything you think you know about what happens to Luke Skywalker. According to my sources,Episode 7 will literally be nothing you’ve ever seen or read before from the Star Wars universe.”
So, despite being official Star Wars cannon, NONE of these books or comics will have anything to do with Episode 7, which will have an entirely new story. George Lucas has apparently written up a basic outline for the upcoming movies, but since he will neither direct or produce, there is no way of knowing how much of his input the studio and eventual director will take into consideration once production begins. Still no word on a director or any actors attached to the project, but rest assured that we all are scouring the internet for all of the most up to date information we can find, so keep an eye out here and on our Facebook and Twitter feeds for updates!
