I’ve avoided looking at this because everyone has sent it to me. Volkswagon sent me the press release, but I’ve been on the road and haven’t had a chance to look at it and then in the day after that I’ve had a number of people email it to me, post it on my facebook wall, message it to me on twitter… Sure, I get it, I’m the Star Wars guy, but it was unrelenting.

Well, I caved and finally watched it and I had a smile on my face from ear to ear. (Wired also notes that the little Darth Vader in this piece is actually a girl. And good for them. It makes it twice as adorable.)

This is one of the coolest, most clever, well shot and executed, most adorable, and most effective commercials ever devised.
