Bedtime on Tatooine

And so it has come to pass that I have written my first (and probably only) bit of Star Wars fan fiction and I thought that I would like to share it with my audience here.

It’s called “Bedtime on Tatooine” and is a story about Uncle Owen telling a 7 year old Luke a bedtime story about his father, a navigator on a spice freighter.

I’m not the usual sort that would write fan-fiction (I don’t think), but I just kept having this unseen moment in the Star Wars saga replay in my head over and over again and I wanted to share it with people.

You can click here to read it. It’s located at my short story blog.  I love writing short stories and this blog is where I collect and publish them.  I’ve published about one a month since 2005 and will continue to do so.  If any of you are short fiction enthusiasts, I would hope that if you like this, you’ll stick around and read some more.

I’d also like to start spotlighting some fanfiction, so if any of you have any that you think is particularly good and short, I’d be more than happy to highlight it here.  Just send a link my way.

Thank you all for indulging me.
