Adam dodged a bullet since he missed the “Pan” screening, but Andy (Citizen-Bot) wasn’t so lucky. Stay away from this one; even Andy’s kids found it boring. “99 Homes” fared a lot better. Even though we disagreed on how good it is, we both agreed there were fantastic performances from both Andrew Garfield and especially Michael Shannon.
“Aliens” got the most votes for our Halloween movie recommendations, so Andy picked “Attack the Block,” Not only is it fun and creepy, it also stars John Boyega who we will next see in this little, indie film coming out in two months – “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Adam went back a few decades and picked “They Live” which had biting satire and commentary of the Reagan administration that is just as applicable today as it was then.
