The Veronica Mars Movie Project, which started on Kickstarter yesterday Wednesday March 13, set a few records. It was the fastest Kickstarter project to hit $1 million. It was also the fastest Kickstarter project to hit $2 million. As of this morning, the project has gone over $2.6 million and continues to grow. The Veronica Mars Move Project is now the largest film project in Kickstarter history. There are still 29 days left to fund the project, but almost all of the high end rewards have topped out. Rob Thomas has announced that they are working on some new high end rewards, so keep your eyes peeled. The Veronica Mars Movie Project is scheduled to be funded on April 12, 2013, with the movie release planned to be early in 2014. Check out the project on Kickstarter here
