Nerds rejoice! This is a great year to be a nerd. Two of my all time favorite franchises celebrate their 25th anniversary this year: TMNT and Ghostbusters. This week I’ll be showing you the kick-ass figures being re-released that we all know and love.

Playmates has re-released the original line of Ninja Turtles. For those of you that ran yours into the ground as a child, or gave them away (you fools!), now is your chance to grab hold of that nostalgia again.

The first “wave” includes Mike, Leo, Raph and Don. On the back of the card they advertise Splinter, Casey Jones, April, Bebop, Rocksteady, Slash, Shredder, Krang and the Foot Soldier. Lots of rumors are flying around about which version of Krang will be released. I’m pretty sure it will be the version with the robot body. Later this year Playmates has announced it will also be re-releasing the Turtle Van so you’re turtles in a half shell can travel in style.
