Today has been full of wonderful casting tidbits about some of the most anticipated movies of the next few years. First, we learned it is likely that Harrison Ford will be returning as Han Solo in the new Star Wars movie, and now we have more news about Guardians of the Galaxy.
As reported at Latino Review, Jason Momoa who played Khal Drogo in Game of the Thrones (which everyone loves) and also Conan in the recent remake (which nobody loves), did a screen test for Drax, and it went so well that Marvel apparently offered him the role right then and there. Of course, nothing in Hollywood can be so simple, but hopefully once the lawyers and agents are done going at it, Momoa will be our Drax.
With Chris Pratt cast as Star-Lord, and both Adam Sandler and Jim Carrey rumored to be in talks (to provide voices, most likely to Rocket Raccoon or Groot), there are only a few more casting decisions left until all the Guardians are gathered together.
We’ll keep you updated as soon as we get more information!
