Yet ANOTHER Dune movie

Variety is reporting today that Peter Berg, the director of the upcoming Hancock which may or may not be a good movie, has been attached to direct Paramounts most recent adaptation of the Frank Herbert epic, Dune.

I’m not exactly sure why we need another Dune. The David Lynch film was fairly competent. I’m a littler concerned about the choice of director, too. This is the guy who’s been tapped to direct the Barbaro saga. Yeah, Barbaro, that one horse that got a broken leg in a race a few years ago. Better still, it’s called “Gone Like The Wind.” Seriously.

I suppose this is just one of those times we have to adopt a severe “wait and see” attitude.
