It’s always a treat every year to get a new film from Woody Allen and “Magic in the Moonlight” seems as though it will be no exception. Starring Colin Firth and Emma Stone, this pits them as a skeptic and a medium. Wackiness will surely ensue.
The trailer looks great (even if the poster doesn’t) and the film appears to be set in an era that Woody Allen works well in. It will be nice to see him return to comedy after his last film, “Blue Jasmine.” It was excellent (earning Cate Blanchett the Oscar, even) but it was a panic-attack inducing anxiety fest. “Magic in the Moonlight” seems to definitely be lighter fare.
“Magic in the Moonlight” comes out in July. Woody Allen is already in production on next year’s motion picture. The man can’t be stopped.
