UPDATE: superherohype.com has posted the following update to this story: Sony Pictures tells us that there is no truth to the rumor that the studio is looking to replace Tobey Maguire in the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in future “Spider-Man” movies.

By now, we have all heard the rumors that Spider-Man 4 & 5 will be shot back to back.

Well, now Latino Review is throwing their hat in the mix and reporting that the producers are looking to recast Peter Parker in the new films. Supposedly topping their list? These dudettes:

Yeah,  Patrick Fugit and Michael Angarano… I’m sorry, these guys don’t look that great to me, not to mention they look younger that the current Spider-Man/Peter Parker that has already been established. I’m all for new cast members, but so far I am not impressed with their supposed “top choices”.

Now, keep in mind this is completely unconfirmed, so take this with a grain of salt.
