Jeremy Bulloch, the main actor who played Boba Fett in the original trilogy, joined the Full of Sith podcast for a live chat on Saturday night from Salt Lake Comic-Con’s Fan X.
You can listen to the whole live episode and Jeremy Bulloch’s interview in the window above, but we wanted to set the record straight about one issue. I had the pleasure of interviewing Mr. Bulloch on stage (alongside Daniel Logan, who played Boba Fett in the prequel films.) During the panel, the following exchange occurred.
BSR!: So neither of you have gotten a call for Episode VII yet?
Jeremy Bulloch: Not yet, but I oops (slaps hand to mouth)
Daniel Logan: He’s like, ‘I only got a fax’.
Jeremy Bulloch: … I’m not allowed to say. I’m sorry.
Yahoo News, the Metro UK, and a variety of other sites reported this off-handed joke as a serious hint.
Here’s the clip from the original interview, clearly a joke:
But if you listen during the Full of Sith episode, I asked Mr. Bulloch about the media foofaraw created about his comments. He patently denied any calls from Lucasfilm or Disney, categorizing any truth to his joke as rubbish.
So, there you have it. Jeremy Bulloch hasn’t been asked about Episode VII. He was simply having a bit of a joke, just like the rest of the panel, which was incredibly fun, if I do say so myself.
Be on the lookout for audio for the entire Boba Fett panel soon.
