Variety has confirmed that Paul Bettany has been cast as the Vision in “Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Bettany is known for portraying Charles Darwin in “Creation” and more recently had roles in “Legion” and “Priest,” but most importantly he voices Jarvis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This lends credibility to the idea that Ultron is somehow related to the Jarvis AI, the Vision being another piece of that puzzle.
Bettany will share the screen with Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlett Witch and James Spader as the title villain Ultron, as well as the original cast of core Avengers.
