I wish I could quit my day job and read Daredevil all the time!-Slugtron

I have just gotten back into reading Daredevil a few issues ago, and I have to say, I have been pleasantly surprised. I thought to pick it up based on Arse-Bot’s preview which you can read here! and Swank-mo-trons review which you can read here!

As for issue #111, I thought it was great, and speaking as a new reader on the series, it seems to be a good jumping on point. Ed Brubaker does a really good job filling readers in on why something should be cool or shocking, and maybe I am speaking from a new reader perspective, but he doesn’t make you feel like an idiot while he does it. I have always kept my eye on Brubaker ever since Batman Murderer, and I am glad to see that he is still writing good comic books.

I like how much of a bad ass it seems that Lady Bullseye is going to be, I like feeling as if the main character of the story is in peril, and without saying too much, it seems like he is going to have that coming at him from all angles. I like how far Marvel is pushing the teen rating on this book, there were brutal killings, almost nudity, and did I mention you practiaclly see boobs? Which is a great thing. There were several points in it where I had instantly decided I wanted to read the next issue. I expect to pick them up as soon as they hit the shelves. Can’t wait!
