Halloween is a great time of year to be reminded about how much we love the creepy and crawly. For the adults, it can be a time to remember the various “sexy” versions of any costume. In the case of Grindhouse: Doors Open at Midnight #1 you get both in spades.
The tale is an over-the-top exploitation story in comic book format. There’s trouble in small town USA when a beehive growing over a tombstone creates cursed honey. Consuming the honey creates a seductive time for the town sheriff’s wife and neighbor while he goes on a beer run. What happens next is a romping good time for the reader and a horrifying time for the town’s police force.
