EVENT: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on the Big Screen

Big Shiny Robot is hosting a screening at the Downtown Salt Lake Library in their state of the art auditorium of the classic 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film!

It will be preceded by a panel discussion about comics and the indie comics scene in the 80s featuring a number of local notables in the field of comics and geekdom.

This is the first in what will be a regular series of FREE screenings and discussions at the library, hosted and curated by Big Shiny Robot! and we hope to see you all there.

It will take place:

A panel of comic experts will discuss the state of the comic industry today before addressing the rise of independent comics in the mid- to late-‘80s. They’ll focus specifically on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, before showing the classic 1990 movie based on the comic book.

 

Bryan Young, editor-in-chief of Big Shiny Robot! (geek news and reviews blog), will moderate the panel discussion.
