DC Comics unveiled five more variant covers by Rafael Albuquerque, Klaus Janson, Tyler Kirkham, Lee Bermejo and Eduardo Risso for the first issue of “Dark Knight III: The Master Race” which will be released on November 25.
The first three of the variant covers were revealed early this month featuring art by Jae Lee, Sean Murphy and a collaboration by Dave Johnson and Jim Lee.
As part of DC’s promotional program for “Dark Knight III,” different comic book retailers will exclusively sell each of the covers. So far, over 40 retailers have signed up for the promotion and DC has released a list for fans to see which variant will be sold where. Only eight of the images have been released so far.
The “Dark Knight III” miniseries marks the final installment of Frank Miller’s Dark Knight story, which began in 1986 with the seminal “Dark Knight Returns.” Miller has return to co-with Brian Azzarello. Janson, who worked on the original miniseries, has also returned to artist duties alongside Andy Kubert.
