Comic Review : B.P.R.D. 1946

I have been reading the new B.P.R.D. 1946 series that has been coming out, and I must say that I have really enjoyed them.

Mike Mignola is writing them, and doing the covers, so they are obviously top notch. The interior art is done by Paul Azaceta whom I knew nothing about. I was worried at first and was secretly wishing that Mike Mignola would just illustrate the book himself, but his art style ended up fitting the book really well. The story is essentially a mission that gets the B.P.R.D. it’s original government funding, by diffusing a program set up by the Nazi’s to make vampires.

The story is really well paced so every issue has some action, plus the Nazi vampire storage center is run mostly by cyborg gorilla’s and chimpanzee’s. (What more could a robot ask for?) I would definitely recommend picking up these books.
