If you’ve been paying attention to video games for more than about four seconds, you’re aware of the worldwide phenomenon that is The Legend of Zelda series. What you may not know is that Nintendo and Dark Horse are coming together to release more than 400 pages of artwork and interviews from behind the scenes.
Dark Horse’s The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts serves as a sequel to 2016’s Hyrule Historia and will be available February 21. The book will come in two formats, regular ($39.99) and Limited Edition ($79.99). Both version of the book have the same interior content, including artwork from the unreleased Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but the Limited Edition features gilded pages to give it the feel of an artifact all its own, as well as a life size Master Sword sword hilt with a slip cover scabbard. Removing the slip cover produces the illusion of unsheathing the Master Sword.
