JK Rowling certainly has a way of getting people of all ages excited about the prospect of more visits to the world of Harry Potter.

Well, Bloomsbury Press announced a countdown… to an announcement. As I write this, we’re just over 6 days away from her major Potter Universe announcement. Youtube even set up a special countdown page for it.

Some speculation revolves around another book. The theme of the countdown is “The Owls are Gathering” and as we all know the owls are the messengers that bring letters to new students of Hogwarts. Other rumours have swirled that JK Rowling has been hinting at a new series of books featuring a muggle child of Dudley Dursely who gets a letter to Hogwarts.

Still other speculation seems to lead to the idea that this announcement is tied to the launch of a brand new website called Pottermore. It could contain literally anything.

What I do know for sure is that JK Rowling will make an announcement, and whatever she announces is sure to delight and thrill Harry Potter fans the world over.
