VGQH is back! There was an unexpected hiatus, but we’re back and committed to bringing snapshots of the best news in video games. Although this is already a slow week. But hey, at least there’s news.
Did you see tweet last week from @NBAJam, saying “Retweet if you’re ready for a new NBA Jam.”? Did you retweet it thinking they were announcing a new game? Sorry, EA’s official statement is that little mess was the result of “unauthorized use of the @nbajam Twitter handle.” They “do not have any announcements to make about NBA Jam at this time.”
“Transformers: Rise of the The Dark Spark” was revealed at New York Toy Fair over the weekend. It was sort of outed last week via an Amazon listing that I am unable to locate it now, meaning it’s probably been pulled. The game will be “marrying two different universes, the Tranformers Cybertron universe and the Michael Bay Transformers universe.” High Moon, the developer of the Cybertron series, is out. Edge of Reality is developing the cross-generational title, announcing a release for PC, PS3, PS4, Wii U, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. No word on the release date or even an official confirmation from a developer or publisher.
Bethesda has confirmed the release for “The Evil Within,” August 26, 2014. Shinji Miami’s upcoming horror title from Tango Gameworks is highly anticipated.
“Daybreak,” another highly anticipated horror title for PC and PS4, has also been issued a release window. It is planned for release in April 2014.
Today sees two new title joining the PS Plus’ Instant Game Collection. Vita owners score with “Street Fighter x Tekken,” while “Remember Me” is hitting for PS3.
That’s it for this week’s early edition. Come back Friday for all the latest!
