PS3 Retail Releases Week of 11/1/10

The first week of November is here. That means the holiday shopping games should be making their way to shelves. But apparently we’ve got to wait at least another week. There’s very little to recommend for now.

11/2/10:
Power Gig: Rise of the SixString Band Bundle
I’m actually intrigued by this only because I think it takes balls to come out the week after Rock Band 3 and be this expensive. The music genre is in sore need of a refresh.

Blood Drive
As I expected last week, I made a mistake in listing it. Looks like it actually comes out this week. And it still doesn’t look very good.

Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2
I’ve said before that I’m not into anime so I know nothing of these games. One thing I’d like to know, why all the stupid hair? If the hair wasn’t so distracting I might actually try to pay attention.

Megamind: Ultimate Showdown
This the licensed game that goes along with the new animated movie. I’m sure the game is terrible like most movie games. But the movie actually has my attention. Will Ferrell and Brad Pitt as voices I believe.

Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage
In a market already glutted with fighting games (and awaiting MvC3), do we need this game?

James Bond 007: Blood Stone
I’m a little ashamed to admit that I’ve never been a Bond fan. But watching a few minutes of Casino Royale last week made me realize Daniel Craig is a pretty cool Bond. This game isn’t based on any new movie, but it does have Craig’s likeness. The fact that I’ve heard next to nothing about it makes me nervous. It either means it’s not worth hyping or it’s going to be a sleeper hit.
