Just in time to join the bandwagon with one of the best E3’s we’ve had in years, From Software has officially announced that Dark Souls 3 is a go, and it will be the last game in the trilogy of the Lands of Lordran. Somewhat leaked a few weeks ago by a youtube video channel, the studio decided that E3 was the time to bring us something more concrete, and we couldn’t be happier!
Although there weren’t too many details ready to share, those that are familiar with the ‘Dark Souls’ universe will recognize the appearance of a Giant Lord as well as the return of Design Director Hidetaka Miyazaki (no relation to the other Miyazaki). Some criticism was levied against ‘Dark Souls II’ in absence of the game’s vision-holder while he was working on ‘Bloodborne’, so hard-core fans are hailing this game as what will likely be the true successor to ‘Dark Souls I.’
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go cry for a few minutes because I’m not ready to accept that this will be the last Dark Souls game. Hold me Stone Dragon!
