Saturday’s Top Ten: South Park

I am a big fan of making lists. I love them, and so I’ve decided as a new Saturday weekly column, I will present a Top 10 for the week. At first it’ll be on whatever I feel like but if you have requests post them in the comments sections and I’ll see what I can do. They’ll be top 10s of everything geeky: TV, Comics, Movies, Music, Toys, Video Games, etc. So strap yourselves in and here we go.

I’m going to start this one off with the amazingly funny show South Park. I watched a bunch of the show recently and came up with a list over the past 14 seasons and with the 15th season starting in April it seems fitting to go with some South Park.

10. The List (Season 11)

Kyle becomes the ugliest kid in school when we get a look into the dealings of women. One of the better episodes in recent years with a Kenny death to remember.

09. Asspen (Season 6)

The kids go to Aspen Colorado and find themselves in an 80s movie. This was the first time the montage song was created and it’s a good one. “Pizza, French Fries.”

08. Chinpokomon (Season 3)

The boys become obsessed with Chinpokomon which is trying to take over the world. I still want to collect Shoe.

07. The Coon (Season 13)

The Watchmen and Dark Knight are parodied in this episode as The Coon watches over the city at night. I’m a big fan of Professor Chaos and I’m glad anytime he shows up. “Look Out Bruce Vilanch!”

06. Woodland Critter Christmas (Season 8 )

One of the best Christmas themed shows ever. The Woodland Critters are so cute and adorable. Teaching lion cubs to do abortions is awesome.

05. Terrance and Phillip in Not Without My Anus (Season 2)

In one of the best swerve balls ever many people were waiting to find out who Cartman’s father is and were instead subjected to this amazing episode of Terrance and Phillip. I always feel the need to search for treasure and I’ve come to find out that Scott is a dick.

04. Super Best Friends (Season 5)

Buddha, Moses, Joseph Smith, Krishna, Lao Tzu, Muhammad, Sea Man and Jesus team up to fight David Blane. It’s so geeky and so awesome. A flawless episode.

03. Butter’s Own Episode (Season 5)

The character Butters was really made into who he is now because of this episode. They took a small character and made one of the greatest episodes ever.

02. Korn’s Groovy Pirate Ghost Mystery (Season 3)

The ultimate guest appearance turning the band Korn into a Scooby Doo characters. The ending where Korn gives a light hearted explanation and a song about it was really good. I didn’t like Korn before that episode and will always love them now.

01. Scott Tenorman Must Die (Season 5)

The ending to this episode is one of the most twisted moments in television history. It is so shocking and yet so incredibly entertaining. After watching this episode for the first time I became a lifelong fan of South Park. Also Radiohead makes one of the best appearances ever.
