If I were a TV exec, and the creator of “Sons of Anarchy” wanted to get together with the creator of “Hell on Wheels” to make a horror series for my network, I would literally stand on the conference table and scream “WHY ARE YOU STILL STANDING HERE?!!? GO DO THIS” while flinging thousand dollar bills at him.
Thankfully the folks at FX are of a (kinda) like mind as me, and they have greenlit this project. Kurt Sutter and John Shiban will develop a horror series about a special ops soldier who is recruited to hunt down rogue demons at Hell’s command. Not a wildly new idea, but I worshipped at the altars of “Brimstone” and “Reaper,” both sadly and unjustly short-lived series about hell hunting. But what the idea might lack in originality, the premise makes up in potential. This is my first Potential Favorite Show in a great while…
