In the past couple hours news has been breaking all over the internet because Cougar Town, a comedy in it’s third season on ABC has been purchased by TBS. TBS not only purchased the rights to the show in order to make another season but they have also purchased all of the past episodes from the 3 seasons.
What is significant about all of this is the potential for cable channels to purchase dying shows from network television and keep them going for their audiences. I am a big fan of Cougar Town, have any of you watched it? What do you think of cable channels like TBS picking up Network shows for new seasons?
