The Batfleck was on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last night and dropped some surprising news. Despite being warned to stay off the internet and not look at the comments about his casting, he did. He opened the Ark or the Covenant and looked. He tried to think of a form for The Destructor to take and came up with the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
Conclusion: Ben Affleck is way, way cooler than we gave him credit for.
“I’m a big boy. I could handle the Emmy snub, I can handle anything.”
Spoken like a true champ.
Affleck also goes into more about his home life, Batman, parenting, and Batman, but I’m sure all you really wanted to hear about was fan reaction to his wife’s most recent indie dramedy. . .I mean Batman. But the rest of it is worth a watch/listen.
If it had been me, I would’ve been more mean, saying something like, “Yes, it was upsetting. But then I went back and hugged my wife Jennifer Garner and said, “Suck on it, nerds! I’m the motherf@#$ing Batman!”
We’ve previously weighed in on the news. People are underestimating Ben Affleck and we should wait until the film comes out until we pass judgment.
Also? You should really be watching Jimmy Fallon, along with all of the other late night hosts. Fallon, Kimmell, Letterman, Ferguson, Conan, Colbert, Stewart: we are living in a golden age of late night talk shows.
