Announced yesterday on the Nokia blog and this morning in internal and external AT&T documents, the Lumia 900 has a limited number of handsets that have an internal memory error. Apparently if data connections are severed on the device either by letting it die completely or utilizing airplane mode, it cannot reconnect to the data network. I absolutely love this phone, and was sad to find that my phone had the same issue. I guess next review set I’ll turn on airplane mode or let it die completely.
The good news is how Nokia is handling this. Anyone who has purchased a Lumia will be receiving a $100.00 credit on their next bill, as a we’re sorry. The best part of it is, it’s ANYONE, whether or not you bought the device. So there’s a great reason to buy the phone, you pay $99.99 up front and they take care of it on the back end, as long as it’s purchased by April 22. There will be an update available by Monday the 16th through Zune or Windows Phone connector.
Have you had issues with yours?
We’d love to know.
