BOUND BY FLAME, THE RELEASE DATE AND NEW SCREENSHOTS!

Bound by Flame, the new RPG developed by Spiders studios, will be released on May 9th on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and PC. Today, the game offers a new glimpse of what’s in store with a new series of exclusive images of some of the ferocious creatures you’ll have to face in your numerous quests!

The bestiary you will confront in Bound by Flame is impressive, rich and varied. Conceived and brought to life by the talented teams at Spiders studios, these creatures are as terrifying as they are deadly, and will do their utmost to make your life hell in spectacular, real-time and highly tactical battles. And just how they do that is revealed in the six new screenshots we urge you to check out now!

The strategic depth of the combat system in Bound by Flame has been made possible mainly through the variety and originality of the game bestiary. Each creature has its specific attacks, special skills and, in particular, individual behavior that will force the player to adapt his tactics and combat style depending on the composition of the groups of enemies he encounters. This, combined with the awesome range of strikes available to the player, the use of magic and the incredible combat animations, contributes to make the battles in Bound by Flame both tactically complex and visually stunning.

A video dedicated to the combat system in Bound by Flame will also be unveiled in the coming weeks!

Published by Focus Home Interactive, Bound by Flame, the new RPG developed by Spiders studios, will be released on May 9th on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®3, Xbox 360® and PC. The game will be distributed in North America by American publisher Majesco.

REVIEW: ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 2 Episode 2 – ‘A House Divided’

Walking Dead Season 2 Episode 2 – “A House Divided” – Telltale Games — March 4, 2014 — $24.99 Season Pass, $4.99 Individual – PC/Mac/iOS/Xbox 360/PS3

Nothing ever works out in the zombie apocalypse, especially if you’re a little girl that resembles the mascot for a can of peaches. The group has really got themselves into it, when the steel-nerved monster known as Clementine meets Carver and they are forced to take to the road.

Everything is definitely not ok.

This installment of Season 2 was much more focused on learning the nature of the characters, while gently reinforcing the fact that everything is definitely not OK. Every decision seems to negatively impact someone in the world, regardless of how careful you may be. As past reviews have stated this game is uncomfortably dark at times and the writing is amazingly spot on. It is still a marvel that you can care about characters you have known for literally minutes, and it’s unbelievable that you get such a deep sinking feeling every time someone new crosses your path.

There is a stark contrast between Clem and Sarah even though, they are essentially the same age.

The biggest bonus to this episode was watching the relationship between Clementine and Sarah slowly blossom. The challenges that Clem has connecting to someone her age due to her growing up so early make for interesting interactions with the other younger member of the group. It is also a bit jarring every time they show the stark contrast between the two even though they are essentially the same age growing up in the same apocalypse. There is also a surprise that I’m sure will bring some intense strife for the crew in future episodes. (You get a small glimpse of some crazy now, but I don’t think it has all come out yet).

The pacing for this episode was perfect, and the feeling of complete hopelessness for our friends along the way definitely has not changed. As the relationships between the groups get stronger, the next few installments have literally hundreds of ways to go. Stop everything you’re doing, update your season pass, or go spend $4.99 pop some Xanax and get ready for another long one.

VIDEO: ‘Counterspell’

This is how we all feel while playing the old hack ‘n slash dungeon crawlers. At least I feel this way while rampaging through hordes of monsters. If only the boss would bail and make it a bit easier on all of us right? Machinima is taking this new series on and returning to their gaming roots. Once again on a quest to help everyone deal with their post Oscar hangover and the long Monday ahead I think this is worth slapping in your headphones for a quick chuckle. You have been warned that this isn’t something to blast loudly out of your cubicle. Happy Monday everyone!

And if female mind control is a little too painful for your morning, maybe you’d be more comfortable with episode 2 “Let’s Hurt Old People.

‘Wolfenstein: New Order’ Gets Release Date

WolfNewOrder

If you’ve been sitting in a corner holding your American Flag waiting for the return of B.J. Blazkowicz to save us from the Nazi army in your head it’s time you got up. On May 20, 2014 Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, PS3, and PS4 will get “Wolfenstein: New Order”.

Pre-ordering the game gives you more than the satisfaction of being early to the Nazi slaughter, but you are also given access to the “Doom” Beta. That’s a right folks, more Doom is coming and we will get a BETA! If you watch the “Boom, Boom” trailer below, you’re going to be given insight into what the game is really about. It isn’t about hardcore, serious action, with intense writing and a political message. This game is going to be a campy blood-soaked rush through an alternate 1960 where Nazi Germany won WWII. If you expect anything less from the game that originally ended with Mecha Hitler then you are to be sorely disappointed.

You folks excited? We sure are.
