Square just put out a brand new trailer for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Crystal Bearers.

This was a better trailer than the older ones I’d seen, and it makes the game look a lot funner. Although it easily looks like a lesser title than Final Fantasy XIII, I think it looks like the best in the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles line to date. And also you have to give them credit for making a fun looking Final Fantasy game, that doesn’t look like the story and game play are going to be too over bearing, In a way appealing to not so hardcore gamers. Plus with the addition of some sort of multi-player, and Wii controls. I think this is an exciting title.

Watch the Trailer, and then Pre-order it on Amazon here! It is being released Dec.26th, (I have a feeling they are hoping to get people to trade there gifts in to buy this item.) (Also, who cares if you give them a Christmas present a day late, get it for em anyway!)

I know I said no more Zelda stuff for a while, but this has got to be the last time because the game is coming out in only a few days time.

I have to say, I was more excited for the train after watching this trailer. A friend of mine said to me the other day, “I don’t know about a train, I mean, it’s on tracks how fun can it be.”
All I have to say to him now is, “Remember how in the trailer, the motha f’in tracks disappear? Eat it!”

This week, I present you with a preview of Tetsuwan Birdy Decode. As you may guess from this preview image, Birdy Decode is not here to make you ponder deep questions about humanity. Nor will it fundamentally change your life. No, sometimes every anime fan wants mindless violence, crazy storylines, and boobs.

Funimation is here to help you with that. Tetsuwan Birdy Decode’s plot line revolves around Birdy, an interstellar agent sent to investigate aliens seen on Earth. She of course conducts this under the guise of a pop idol. Sound crazy? Wait, I’m not done yet. A late night mission causes her to catch an innocent schoolboy, Tsutomu in her deadly line of fire. That’s bad, so Birdy uses some of her advanced medical technology to save the boy, by implanting his mind into her own. Now, they must share her body while Tsutomu’s body heals.

I think we all know where this will go from here, and admit it. We all love it. Funimation intends to release the episodes in half season box-sets starting 2010. So if you enjoy B-Movie plots and hormonal teens locked in sexually awkward situations, keep your eyes peeled for this title.

Since no one seems to be reading this post, I thought I might as well go on a mini-tangent about why I am excited about this release.

The first reason is the most embarrassing, and therefore the best to get out of the way. Anyways, reason #1 because I am a hopeless Final Fantasy Fan boy. I think they’ve earned my trust, not all of the games have been master pieces, but most of them have been for one reason or another. (Even FF XI has some redeeming qualities.) (Although everything I’ve seen about FF XIV leads me to believe it will be an upgraded version of the same thing.)

The next “reason” if you can call it that, would be that I’m going in basically based only on my impressions from FF XII. Which was probably about my least favorite in the series. But the reasons I find it to be the worst hardly make it bad. Just flawed. And the flaws it has, aren’t even necessarily endemic to this game alone. Because my largest complaint was how lame the main boss was. But was Sepheroth even that tough of an enemy? I don’t remember dying on him. (But the dungeon was redeeming in comparison to XII as well.)

It did some things great, like playtime. You can spend over a hundred hours on it easily. I have a feeling that FFXIII will follow in the foot steps of XII in this way. Which is a little scary, because it never feels like I have a hundred free hours to play a video game.

The final reason I’m really excited to play FF XIII is simply because it looks amazing. I think it looks better than any video game I’ve ever played before. I just hope that the story is good, but it doesn’t take from the gameplay……Well I gotta go now…..tangent over.

Usagi Yojumbo has been a comic I’ve kept in my comic book hold for as long as I’ve had one. And I’ve never regretted it, or considered removing it. There isn’t many books I can say this about. Even Invincible has had a few shady spots.

It’s amazing that there aren’t more comics like this, because it’s such a good concept. It’s basically a continuing Akira Kurosawa film, with a rabbit playing Toshiro Mifune’s part.

Anyways, Dark horse has a 10 page preview of this awesome comic, I suggest that everyone gives it a try.

I know it probably feels like I’m flooding the website with Legend of Zelda updates, but I promise this is the last one. (besides the Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks review I’ll be doing!)

Nintendo just released the footage of the actual gameplay of the four player battle mode, it looks really fun! But watch the video, and decide for yourself! It’s a hi-res video, so watch it in HD!

As I’ve stated on the site several times now, this is my most anticipated video game release coming out for the rest of the year, so if you haven’t already pre-ordered your copy, do it now! Hopefully we’ll have a full game review up soon.

Marvel gave us this preview clip, along with this bio for the Falcon in Super Hero Squad:

Falcon flies with wings made of “hard light” (a solid type of hologram). He’s upgraded them with Stark-built “feathers” that shoot out as projectiles. Falcon communicates telepathically with birds, particularly his pet falcon REDWING. He can even “see” through their eyes, which comes in handy when the team needs recon. The original adrenaline junkie, Falcon loves anything that moves fast, flies high or causes severe motion sickness. Passionate and optimistic at 17, he’s a born hot-dogger who’s finally made it to the big leagues. Beneath his jokester persona, he’s got a lot to prove.

Falcon’s going to figure out, over time, that he’s as powerful a hero as any and it’s got nothing to do with how much he can bench-press (260, if you must know). The others are going to learn that his tactical judgment is approaching that of his mentor, Cap.

Falcon and the other Squaddies: Iron Man asked the Falcon to join at Captain America’s suggestion. Cap trained the Falcon and knows what potential the impetuous speedster has. Falcon also loves nothing better than a good prank, whether it’s gluing Wolverine’s boots to the floor or covering the sleeping Hulk with temporary tattoos. Mornings on the Helicarrier frequently begin with a huge roar and a big green fist coming through Falcon’s wall. It’s a good thing he can fly fast. In spite of Wolverine’s repeated threats to turn Redwing into a squab dinner, the truth is that everyone in the Squad is kind of attached to the quirky bird, and even Wolverine has been caught sneaking him extra snacks.

In battle, Falcon provides the team’s SPEED FACTOR.
