Our partners have provided us with a really fun and exciting contest that not only could net you an awesome limited edition Star Wars collectible, but also have your idea for a short video come to life!
General Mills Big G Cereals have just come out with a ton of really awesome Star Wars pen collectibles that you can get as prizes in some of their cereals. Between now and the end of the year, buy any box of Honey Nut Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Reese’s Puffs, Golden Grahams, Cocoa Puffs, Trix, or Lucky Charms to score yourself one of these really cool pens! Of course, I have the type of personality where I want to collect all of them, so I’m going to have to buy a lot of cereal to pick up Darth Vader, Yoda, Chewbacca, a Storm Trooper, Mace Windu, Obi Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Boba Fett!
To top it off, General Mills has started making Star Wars short films using the pens and released them as Edible Episodes, which you can check out by going to the General Mills Cereal Wars Tumblr page. They’ll be releasing new shorts all the time, so be sure to check it out often to see what’s new!
Now, here’s the fun part where you come in. We want eveyone to send us ideas of what kind of short video you would create with these Star Wars pens. It can be a recreation of a classic scene from Star Wars or something completely original, you choose! The runner up and first place winner will each win either a Scout Trooper and Speeder Bike Statue from Gentle Giant or a limited edition 24″ Star Wars Super Shogun Stormtroopers (check them out at the end of the article), and the first place winner will also have their idea made into a special Edible Episode via vine or instagram and posted to the Cereal Wars page for all the world to see!
To enter, you’ll need to do two things. First, in the comments section below, tell us the idea for your Edible Episode starring the Star Wars character pens. Once you do that, send your name and mailing address along with your Edible Episode idea to adam@bigshinyrobot.com (no PO Boxes and addresses in the US only, please). Remember, you have to complete BOTH steps in order to fully enter. The contest will run until November 23, at which point we’ll pick our two favorite ideas, and the winners will be contacted shortly thereafter.
