In a new trailer released today, we are introduced to another character in the game, Nathan Dawkins, who will be voiced and acted by Willem Dafoe. Nathan appears to be some sort psychiatrist who meets Jodie Holmes when she is a child and continues to play an influence throughout her life and in the game. From the trailer, he seems to be trying to help her out, but if you’ve played any of Quantic Dream’s other games (Heavy Rain or Indigo Prophecy), then you know that looks can be deceiving.
Beyond Two Souls is scheduled for release on October 8, 2013 on PS3 (with a possible PS4 port to follow), and also stars Ellen Page as Jodie.
