Though Salt Lake Comic Con FanX is still about a month away, festivities leading up to the convention are underway. Salt Lake Comic Con has partnered with SLC Zombie Walk and the Utah Food Bank to host a zombie invasion and ball at the Utah State Capitol building March 28.
The ball will begin at 5:00 with the invasion of the capital. This part of the event is free to anyone, participants can be either zombies or survivors defending the building.
At 6:15 music and dancing will begin. There is a $10 admission charge (kids 10 and under are free) for the ball itself and the whole effort of course is to benefit the Utah Food Bank so bring your non-perishables to donate the Food Not Brains food drive.
Parking will be available near the capitol or the Fear Factory Zombie Bus will shuttle the undead from the Gateway to the Capital. The ball ends at 10:00 PM and all ghouls will be asked politely to vacate the premises. You can continue groaning at the Club Metro where participants over 21 are invited to continue the party and in so doing, shut down enough brain cells to truly authenticate your costume (please be responsible).
Details on the event can be found right here.
