We’re all nerdy about something. Some of us about things that may not even be considered “nerdy” by the rest of the world. Whether it be video games, comics, movies, cars we here at BigShinyRobot have set out to find what people are passionate enough about to have etched into their body for eternity. Without further ado I give you Dan Urban who has enough passion for Star Wars to even sign emails “may the force be with you”, his gorgeous Star Wars tattoos acquired internationally are well done, and feature some of my favorite Star Wars characters as well….so without much more rambling, we give you Mr. Urban.

Bio:
I am 24 years old and was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, currently living in Santa Cruz as a full time student. My favorite pastime is creative writing as well as writing music. I am currently writing a science fiction novel of my own as well as sing, play the drums, bass, guitar and piano. The inspiration was a self realization that staying in touch with my inner nerd was extremely important to me. Through my entire life I was constantly told that I am stupid for liking Star Wars and that it’s just for a bunch of nerds. Star Wars and the various seasons and movies of Star Trek were always my favorite growing up. I have watched all of the films hundreds of times, read countless pages of Star Wars books and graphic novels and I have never grown tired of them. They have taught me many lessons in my life and I seek much strength from the various teachings and messages portrayed. I have always been a huge fan of tattoos and after I met Sjard and realized his talents and mutual passion for Star Wars I knew that getting a Star Wars sleeve was something I really wanted to do. My favorite characters in Star Wars are the villains so I chose Boba Fett as the main feature in the lower half of the piece, and the millenium falcon is there to represent one of my favorite scenes of The Empire Strikes back where Boba Fett chases after the Millenium Falcon through the astroid field after they flee from the Imperial Star Destroyer! The sleeve will be completed with many more of my favorite characters such as the Emperor, Darth Vader and much more. I am a stubborn man who would not put my passion for science fiction and the galaxy beyond on the back burner for any person. Star Wars is a serious passion of mine and If someone thinks I’m stupid for having a Star Wars sleeve then they are too lame to be a part of my life anyways.
