Wow. Yesterday’s results? Thor smashed Doctor Doom all the way from Asgard to Latveria with 2 votes for every 1 of his (66% to 33%).
And Loki eeked out a pretty close victory against Professor X, 58% – 42%. When I checked it this morning they were exactly tied, so thank you late voters for swinging the victory. See, your votes do count!
And we will indeed have Thor vs. Loki for the finals of Seige!! To quote Comic Book Guy, “My heart is pounding like Thor’s hammer on Doctor Doom’s titanium breastplate!” (a fitting quote for yesterday’s smashing!)
So here’s today’s House of M Bracket:
Stan Lee vs. Jean Grey? Well, he did originally name her Marvel Girl. She’s one of his greatest creations, and one of the most powerful mutants of all time. Even without the Phoenix, Jean Grey was awesome. But. . .it’s Stan. Lee. Co-creator and creator outright of most of the characters on this board. And who can forget his cameos in classics like Mallrats, or as the Janitor in the new Ultimate Spider-man cartoon. . .and so on?
And then Whedon vs. Moon Knight. Some people have commented on Moon Knight’s ability to do so well in the tourney so far, to which I say, basically Moon Knight is Batman, but crazier. No real powers, but lots of money, lots of tech, and a fractured personality that makes him kind of badass. Whedon. . . .well, he’s Whedon. I know some of you got to see Avengers last night. And for those that did, I think this choice will be easy.
And again, if Stan Lee and Whedon both win, that would guarantee an actual real human being makes it to the Final Four. Not saying that’s what I’m rooting for, but I think Whedon is a contender and Stan Lee, of anybody outside of the Final Four, is most likely to stop him.
Go vote! Remember, voting goes all weekend, so get them in!
