Vinnie Jones + Highlander Reboot = ?

Joblo posted this last night, and its definitely an interesting idea. They seem whole heartedly against it, but I liked Vinnie Jones in Snatch, Lock Stock, and he was damn funny as the Juggernaut.  Word is they’re casting him as the Kurgan in the new Highlander Reboot, here’s their take on it.

April Fool’s day gave us our last update on Justin Lin’s HIGHLANDER reboot…today we aren’t so lucky.

Comicbookmovie.com is propagating a rumor that British tough-guy Vinnie Jones is in line to play villain The Kurgan in HIGHLANDER: THE RECKONING, a role originated in 1986 by Clancy Brown. Foolish, right?

IRON MAN scribes Art Marcum and Matt Holloway are at the keys, scripting the story of an Immortal from the highlands of Scotland, once trained by ancient Immortal Ramirez, fighting in modern times against other immortals in a “contest” called the Gathering; a contest whose ultimate end line is that there can be only one.

No word (or rumor even) on who’ll play the two leads, Connor MacLeod (Chris Lambert) and Juan Ramirez (Sean Connery), but feel free to start throwing out some names. Hell, why not bring in a 53 year old Lambert…he’s still alive, right?

..Who could replace Chris Lambert and Sean Connery? Are there any classy Scottish or British gents around that can wield swords? Thoughts below..
